MAKE THE DECISIONS
Your offer, in their words
The clearer this is, the easier everything else gets: the name, the price, the emails and who you invite. Work through the three rings, tightening toward the bullseye, then write each one into its box in the Write It Down section below.
- Ring 1, Geographic: own your backyard. Write down where your best clients are, starting with the people closest to you: your town, your gym, your existing community.
- Ring 2, Demographic: do they qualify? Do they have the money? Are they playing the sport, already active in or actively trying to solve the thing you coach?
- Ring 3, Psychographic: what's in their head? What are they thinking, and how do they feel about you compared to the app, the franchise gym, or going it alone? Not sure? Call one favorite client and ask what was frustrating them before they found you, and why they stayed. Write down their exact words.
- Then fill in the Who is it for box below: pull all three rings into one or two sentences.
Keep their exact words somewhere safe. They become your registration page and marketing email copy over the next two weeks.
This list is where most of your first group comes from.
- List every current client, past client and contact who fits the program, or who knows someone who does. Filter through Rings 1 and 2: nearby and qualified. Aim for at least 20 names.
You are only building the list this week. The personal invitations go out in Week 3.
Your promise lives in the box at the top of this week. Complete the line in your client's words, not marketing words: over four weeks, we'll help you [the outcome they told you they wanted].
A good starting point: one month of your coaching price multiplied by 0.75, rounded to the nearest 4 or 9. For example, $200 per month becomes $149.
You can also offer three options with the one you want them to pick in the middle. A single clear price works well too. Enter it in the Price box at the top of this week.
Pick the number of clients you want in this first group, and ground it in real numbers: roughly 10 clients means 25 to 40 real conversations, which means a reach list of 60 to 100 names.
